Piotr Restecki – a guitarist, and a composer. He began learning to play the guitar as a self-taught person. He continued his education at the School of Classical Guitar in the class taught by Jerzy Pikor. He also took master classes from some of the best teachers: Marco Tamayo (Cuba), Pavel Steidl (The Czech Republic), Tomas Pering (Germany) and others. He is the winner of numerous competitions both nationwide and international.
Piotr Restecki has performed on one stage with many artists both from Poland and foreign, such as: Tommy Emmanuel, Preston Reed, Jon Gomm, Andrzej Piaseczny, Krzysztof K.A.S.A. Kasowski, the Cugowski Brothers. For many years he has been giving concerts and running workshops (Summer Guitar Festival Krzyżowa or Przystanek Woodstock). He makes recordings for radio and television. He has made a name for himself as a finalist of the first edition of the show Must Be The Music, as well as a guest on Kuba Wojewódzki Show. He got a Guitar Award for an acoustic guitarist in 2013 in Poland.
Piotr Restecki works with jazz, country, blues and rock bands. He loves the fingerstyle technique. His compositions and arrangements bear a resemblance to the styles of such artists as Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, Merle Trawis, although he is also influenced by the music of Steve Vai, John Scofield, Miles Davis.
Piotr’s talent as a composer and his performance energy, combined with his sense of humour make up an original musical spectacle of one actor, which is received with a wide recognition and enthusiasm by the public.
